🕰 History – From Training School to Tech Hub

  1. 1948: Founded as the Central Training School, serving East African postal training needs.
  2. 1977: Transformed to Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (KPTC) post-EAC collapse.
  3. 1992: Became Kenya College of Communications Technology under KPTC.
  4. 1999: Became a subsidiary of Telkom Kenya Ltd after KPTC split.
  5. 2006: Integrated under the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK).
  6. 2008: Upgraded to Multimedia University College of Kenya, a constituent of JKUAT.
  7. 2013: Granted full university status as Multimedia University of Kenya.
